Chapter 5 covers recruitment and careers. This chapter focuses on the competitiveness of the applicant pool and how to use positive recruitment can help attract competent individuals to the organization. We also look at stages of Career development.

On pages 256-257(attached) of your book, case study 2 talks about resume screening tools. Please read the case study and then answer the following questions:

1. What are some pros and cons of using resume screening tools?

2. What impact are they having on management?

3. How might the drawbacks associated with resume screening software be addressed?

Chapter 6 looks at employee interviews. This chapter will help us understand the process and many principles and procedures that go into employee selection. We will look at the different tools to help mangers with the selection process.
