After reading Chapter 2 in the textbook, Corey, reflect on how certain values might be an asset or a liability in your work with clients. Which values are likely to help you connect with a client? Which of your values might make it difficult for you to objectively assist clients in finding their own way? In your paper address the following questions: How important is it to keep your values to yourself to avoid biasing your client? What is one way that you can help clients clarify their own values? To what degree is it possible for you to disagree with a client’s values and still accept him or her as a person? How can you retain your own sense of values and remain true to yourself, yet at the same time allow your clients the freedom to select values and behaviors that differ sharply from yours? The answers to these questions should be in essay form, with minimal use of 1st person. The paper must be 500 words in length.
