What are your reactions to the therapeutic value of the therapist’s assuming such a role? How do you think a self-disclosing stance on the therapist’s part would alter the course of counseling? Do you believe that people can resolve issues in adulthood through exploring issues in development in the first six years of life? Why or why not? In order to facilitate change, is your belief that one must look at past events?
