1. Develop a hypothesis for a psychology study that it would be appropriate to test with a one-sample t test. Explain your reasoning as to why this test would be suitable for your hypothesis.
2. Develop a psychological hypothesis that you can test with a t Test for dependent means. Explain how you would conduct this study to make it appropriate to be evaluated by a t Test for dependent means.
3. Now change the study that you have described for (2.) so that it is appropriate to conduct a t Test for independent means instead. Explain the changes you have had to make and why.
4. Compare and contrast the differing approaches you discussed in 2. and 3. above. What are the advantages and disadvantages to each approach? Look again at your hypothesis. Do you think it is more appropriate to conduct a between or within subjects design to test your hypothesis?
