After reading the section in Chapter 11 titled “Spatial Zone Dialectics,” reflect on your own relationship to the Internet and to others, and post a thoughtful response to the following questions: With which “pole” (solitude or tribal) do you identify most strongly? Give examples. How does this affect your relationships with existing friends and with making new friends?

Take a moment and think about how technology influences your communication with your friends, acquaintances, and loved ones. How much of your interaction time is face to face? How much of your interaction time is via a gadget? Could you go a week without technology?
