For your final assignment in this course, you will have the chance to pursue a topic in workforce                 development that interests you.

Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to give you the freedom to pursue an issue in workforce          development that is personally interesting to you and/or relevant to your work or future work.

Process: To accomplish this assignment fully and in a satisfactory way, you will work individually to             identify a topic in workforce development systems that interests you (for example, it could be something  that we introduced in one of the readings or videos.) Once you have identified a topic, you will then create an annotated bibliography of 10 scholarly sources on that topic.

Outline of Deliverable: To ensure that your assignment meets the required guidelines for this assignment, here is an outline for the deliverable. Your Annotated Bibliography should cover 10 peer-reviewed               academic journal articles and/or scholarly book chapters on the topic of your choice. For each of the ten  sources, your annotated bibliography should have the following components:

1. A full APA citation (see APA manual)

2. A 2-3 sentence summary of the source

3. A 2-3 sentence critique and reaction of the source and how it informs your thinking on the overall topic you've selected for this assignment

Please consult the instructional videos in this Module for further explanation on how to write an annotated bibliography.

Assessment: You will be assessed based on the following criteria:

A. Adherence to APA format and Clear Writing Style (25%). All sources must be cited properly with APA format. The text you write must be void of grammatical and syntactical errors.

B. Relevance of Sources to Workforce Development Topic (25%). All 10 selected sources must be relevant to the selected topic. There must be clear coherence among the sources  in such a way that readers agree the chosen sources make important contributions to the discussion of the particular topic.

C. Source Summaries (25%). Sources are summarized clearly and effectively such that readers understand clearly the essence of the source and its relevance to the selected topic of workforce development.

D. Source Critiques (25%). Sources are  critiqued  in a way  that demonstrates the readers have thoroughly  read, understood, and thought critically about each of the sources and how they relate to workforce development.
