Rubrics set up a scoring system to assess student work. The appropriate development of
rubrics also allows students to align their finished product to ensure it has been fully
completed.
In this assignment, you will consider the role of rubrics in the assessment process. You will
research and discuss a range of rubrics used in education.
Step 1. Illustrate
Illustrate the purpose of rubrics by responding to each item in a paragraph.
Describe general versus task-specific rubric types.
Compare and contrast analytic and holistic rubrics.
