rubrics also allows students to align their finished product to ensure it has been fully

completed.

In this assignment, you will consider the role of rubrics in the assessment process. You will

research and discuss a range of rubrics used in education.

Step 1. Illustrate

Illustrate the purpose of rubrics by responding to each item in a paragraph.

 Describe general versus task-specific rubric types.

 Compare and contrast analytic and holistic rubrics.

 Which type of rubric do you tend to favor and why?

 Describe advantages and disadvantages of analytic and holistic rubrics.
