National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS)

For this activity I picked the national average( United States) with New York in robbery. New York had the higher rate compared to the national average. In 2000 New York had the highest robbery rate comparing to it's national average. The reason behind this could be due to the variety of people we have all around. Such as homeless people living in the streets and then we have upper classman. During the 2000 most people had nothing and the only way to survive was to go around and rob the upper classman. It don't even have to a be rich person getting robbed but homeless people in between themselves could rob each other. Also, the population is very high in New York.

One of the activities I would perfom is do an experiment with upper class people wear everything nice and designer next to a place where most homeless stay at. To the study the first reaction they had wether it's to rob them or not. Also, try to find someone that had been in this situation and describe the type of person they are. New York has a high population which means limited jobs and the only way people can get it's way would be to go around and taking other people's things.
